Over the last few years we've met hundreds of teachers from across the United States and we've been very heartened by the response they have to Reach And Teach. As we've watched the economy get tougher and tougher, we know that teachers and school systems are struggling financially, with PTAs having fundraisers for basic staples like paper and notebooks. That of course makes it harder for teachers and schools to acquire resources like Reach And Teach offers.
One thing teachers have consistently told us is that parents and others in the community would like to help put peacemaking, social justice, and environmental educational products into the classroom if only they knew what a particular teacher wanted and how to get it. To help facilitate that connection between teacher and parent/community we're now offering a wish list feature on our web site. Read more to learn how you can set up your own wish list and share that list with people so that they can help you get the right materials into your classroom. Creating a Wish List is easy! First, you need to create an account on our web site so that we can store your wishes. Click "My Account" on the green top navigation bar anywhere in our web store. You can also CLICK HERE to create your account. Step 1: Create An Account
Simply fill out the information requested, pick a user ID and password, and you're done. If you already have an account, just log in.
Step 2: Look Around the Web Store and Add Items to Wish List
Visit the web store and check out products. Our site is divided into categories that let you jump to items of interest. When you find a product that you want, just click "Add to Wish List."
Step 3: Share Your Wish List
View your Wish List any time by clicking the "My Account" tab at the top navigation bar. When you're ready to share your list with someone, just put in their email address and a short note and the web store will send them a message.
Step 4: Your Message Arrives
Within moments your message will be sent. It is a fairly simple email message, with your short note and a link to your wish list.
Step 5: Shopping Your Wish List
Now the person to whom you sent your message (or the group) can view the items you'd like to have for your classroom. They can order the products and have them shipped directly to you! For example, check out my sample Wish List by clicking here. That's all there is to it! Now you can let friends, family, parents, and other folks in the community know about the peace, social justice, and environmental products you'd like to have in your classroom. If you have any questions, or suggestions for ways to make this program better, please contact us. We will continue to create new products and be treasure hunters around the globe to keep peacemaking, social justice, inclusion, and greening the planet tools and resources available under our one virtual roof. |
