If you want to get more exotic, here are additional parameters you can set ...
offset: in minutes. -60 causes blackout to occur one hour earlier
msg: alternative message to display during blackout
timelength: number of minutes for blackout (default 30 minutes)
org: organization name to substitute for $org in msg
testmode: if set to 'test' will test blackout
Example: Replace the default message with a custom message, go black for 60 minutes starting 15 minutes earlier (at 11:45AM PDT)

Some Notes/Quirks...
If you have a Flash animation on your web page, it may display on top of the black screen getting in the way of the explanation text when your website goes dark. If this is the case, set "wmode=transparent" for your flash animation and everything should work ok.
